When it comes to life changes and healthy lifestyle, I've been there, done that and got the t.shirt!
Before a change of career into fitness and rehabilitaion, I spent 12 years in Human Resources with British Gas/Transco, Going Places, Ashcroft Care Services as a Training Officer, Training Designer and latterly as a Human Resource Junior Partner. I always tried to stay physically active and eat what I thought was healthy, but busy schedules, working away from home and then having my children all took their toll on my health and well-being. I gained weight, became inactive and then yo-yo dieted for many years before deciding to make a change.
I went on to study a Post Graduate Certificate in Business & Personal Coaching and and then later an Advanced Diploma in Nutrition & Weight Management, Exercise to Music and an Advanced diploma in Pilates, specialising in Orthopeadic conditions (working with clients rehabilitating from sporting injuries and general orthopaedic conditions). I've loved this work so much that I have returned to University and am currenty studying a BSc (Hons) Phsyiotherapy degree!
Note: I have returned to university (2020) to study Physiotherapy to further enhance my work in rehabilitation exercise and nutriton for health.
